Ambiguity

New expectations and demands have emerged and have brought a different dimension to the role of the minister.

You'll find 21 such indispensable qualities in this little handbook by John C. Maxwell. I've had this book for several years and find that it's a great reference manual. It's one of those books that you want to reference frequently!   Ah, The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader: Becoming the Person Others Will Want to Follow.
Seeker Sensitive Synagogue by Watcher's Lamp, 3/20/07
It was only a matter of time before the Synagogue went Seeker Sensitive the Saddleback Way. Another proof of the omni-denominational appeal of consumer-driven man-centered marketing of anthropological religion.

Sadly, mainstream evangelicalism became spiritually spineless and embraced the sinfully ecumenical neo-liberal cult of the Emergent Church aka the Emerging Church,  now upgraded to 2.0 with its newer, more clearly delineated, postmodern Progressive Christian theology, which these rebels against the final authority of the Word of God will often refer to under their circus “big tent” as Emergence Christianity.
Jim Smith has been working in the area of spiritual formation for over twenty years. During that time he has edited and written Renovaré Resources such as A Spiritual Formation Workbook and Devotional Classics. While these resources are helpful for encouraging apprenticeship to Jesus, Smith wanted to create a more comprehensive resource for the formation of disciples of Jesus.
Basically the book is an overview of Ignatian spirituality. He defines Ignatian spirituality as
1. Finding God in all things
2. Becoming a contemplative in action
3. Looking at the world in an incarnational way
4. Seeking freedom and detachment
which is an excellent summary of the main teachings of the Jesuits.
What is true is that pastors are inexplicably joined at the hip with the church and its success or failure.  Therefore is it obvious to determine that it is the inability of leaders to become the solutions for their own struggles in the church?
